• To acquaint the students with the development of the Universe of knowledge and methods for organization of a library system efficiently.

• To train students with the application of Information Technologies (IT) in rendering library and information services.

• To appraise the students with the various sources of information and train them with the technologies of information search, retrieval and dissemination in the context of different users groups.
